If someone is interested in a gremlin green Axis w/floyd, there's one for sale at the music store in Cologne, Germany.

Here my new SUB, and pics of the family:

OLP JP Refinish!

After ordering my EBMMJP about after the first month or two I started to really anticipate it's arrival. :( So, to keep my mind off of the EBMMJP I started a little project. This is the end result, took me awhile to finish as this was my first experiment like this, but I think it turned out pretty good! Originally I had planned to stain both the headstock and the body, however, I got tired of not playing guitar for awhile so I just put some satin clear coat on it! (I know there's an Ibanez there, but even after playing OLP's cheap version of the JP, it's just not as good anymore!) :D

Thanks to my friend (and soon to be brother-in-law) for being kind enough to upload these so I could post 'em!

I stripped it and pretty much just clear coated it once I got down to the wood, I didn't know basswood looked that good. lol

The headstock has a touch of stain to it as originally I was going to paint it in a Mystic Dream-esque style, however, that didn't work out to well so I had to resand the headstock and went a tad deep so I used some stain to make it a bit darker. Originally I had planned to stain the body as well, but I couldn't stand playing the RG for the 3 weeks in between so I just put a couple coats of stain clear on the body and put it back together. :D

I have an Ibanez that I totally had custom repainted and everything, but I HATE the wizard neck on that thing. Those skinny necks just suck and it never leaves the case.

hahaha, it looks like my floor :D! Looks pretty interesting, but I hope you will never do that to the real JP EBMM, hehehe.

Oh, of course not! :p That would be blasphemy!

I can't stand the necks on the RGs anymore either...it's really just sitting here collecting dust I think I'll retire to it's case it until I can put some 9's on it (may help playability as there's 10s on there right now).

New JP. Remember there is no set date on when it will/ever go into production.

You also forgot to mention the thinner lower horn, and the removal of the recessed arm rest to be replaced by a tradtional cut away plus the addition of the pick up rings.....and the neck binding...
