Not sure you'd wanna steal any of my licks.

But you may be inspired to give some alternate tunings a try and see what you can come up with.

Really good way to breathe new life into your playing

offer still good. No room for Pete's bro which complicates things.
Maybe I could commandeer the motel van.

BTW if you guys are hanging Sunday you really need to spend part of the day driving up the coast. Leave 3-6 hours for the round trip. Trust me on this. Not to be missed.

Keith,
Hmmm... We can just take the motel's trans. n/p
I wouldn't mind a trip up the coast but I think Thom might be more of a mind to hang w/anyone still around the area and chat/jam the day away. I'm sure plans will come together by Saturday night/Sunday morning.
Now, who's got a recording device?

Keith, I forwarded this thread to my brother, he said he has half a mind to bring along a non-EB bass to whap you with for that comment

heh heh heh. In all seriousness, I'll just take the complimentary shuttle that the Sands has. Easier on all of us, and Nick won't have to bring a weapon-bass along :D

That's the understatement of the year... I've only been playing for about a year and a half, so you have no idea how intimidated / inferior I'm going to feel watching you guys play... I'll be copping licks left and right... ;)

Hmmm....Make sure some of you fairly new players show up. It will help those of us who have been playing for years but still suck to feel more at home.

Now all we need to do is nail down a day/time! I haven't made my flight plans yet, so I'm still somewhat flexible. I'm hoping I can make it!

Ah, so! You want to be sparring partner, eh? Tommy will be most happy to be the ref. What time is sunrise? :D

+1 or maybe we can just set up some hotel bunk beds like bleachers and bring some bic lighters to tribute the virtuosos :D

BTW I'll also have a rental car driving down from San Jose airport around 11:30 on Friday if someone needs a lift.

I can also be bribed into being a designated driver (gave up the stuff years ago) if folks are into surveying the local scene after hours. (although I am old and somewhat responsible :p )

I think a few of us are in our 40's.

I've mentioned this before, if you're driving down from SJ, you're looking at 3 hours. That's without stopping. Much of PCH is curvy and 30mph is top speed along that portion. Plus, you'll wanna stop a few times along the way.

Add: Or you could take 101, it's more direct...but you'd be missing something quite special.

Worst case scenario:

Pete's brother rides.

Everyone's happy. :)

Ok, I just got off the phone with the Sands and they don't have shuttle service per say they will remimburse you for a cab from the airport, but too the airport your on your own. Also, you need to either call the cab company or the hotel ahead of time. They said that there are only 2 cab companies in SLO and that it's only like a 5 mile ride from the airport.

Oh by the way they have my room reserved.
