Back in with my order after yesterday's communication glitch...and hoping for the best on that 125-unit threshold.

I still like the SR5 PFD.

Things have turned very positive over on TB. That can only be a good thing for all of us.

I mean, we're bassists. Not lead guitarists.

All this talk of tb made go there for a look ... I will never get that 15 mins of my life back !

Lets bring this thread back on the 19mm topic

Do you have 19mm of clearance, you know, down there with Spandex?

A question that has been raised is what will be the planned nut width -- I have been assuming it would stay at 1.75" - Is that correct, or will it be a bit wider?

thanks!

Harry we have some rough ideas and it is in the design cue...we are waiting a little bit to also see the order flow...
We are at three ordered as on 5 minutes ago and no calls today at all. Im hoping it picks up steam over the weekend.

Fair enough. TBD it is... But giving the nut a bit more wiggle room makes perfect sense to me. As soon as I can get paid, I'm putting my order in.

Thanks!

Wish I could order one just to support the cause but my six EBMM basses are keeping me GAS free for the foreseeable future. i don't pretend to know much about business but this company is unique in its dedication to its customers and accessibility to its CEO. I am a seriously proud Stingray (and Bongo) player and have actually found this thread inspiring as once again Big Poppa shows his true colors as a gentleman and true class act.

BP - I love you man. You are a champ and I can not believe all of this! I just read this entire thread and feel so sad about the whole thing. You go out of your way and still not appreciated.

How in the world have all those PROFESSIONAL bassist been able to live with and make awesome music on ALL those non-19mm string spaced SR5 basses over all these years?!?

Sir, keep doing your thing, you know what you're are doing and I appreciate it all.

Thanks BP,

OK Everybody please just stop....Im out. I hope I write the check. You know that when someone finally crosses the line? We are there. Lets just hope Koogie doesnt see it. hahaha

This thread will stay open as long as it is friendly, and fair...and about getting a bass that was not avialable before. If if keeps up all of the toxic vomit Ill close it.

Please take this as a fair warning. I am about done with the whole thing.

I am right here Pops.....honestly, I could care less about a 19mm bass. It makes no difference to me. I think it is great that you put yourself out there with this deal to make one. No problem with that as it is your business.

I do have a problem with the personal attacks on you. I have been WAY to busy and having a few medical issues I am dealing with....but....anyone....and I mean ANYONE calling out your integrity grinds me a bit. Keyboard warriors are my favorite. I have dealt with them before...simply...you want to call out one of my good friends (that would be Big Poppa for those interested)...simply PM or e-mail me. I can tell you more about him and what he has done for me than most will ever know. I am talking about real life situations. No some crybaby garbage either. I would take a bullet for him. Try me. Simply, shut your pie hole if you need to make assumptions.

I will patiently await those mails. For your info...it is [email protected]

If you get to the 125...great. If not...better have those apologies ready.

POPS - You need anything...text me sir. Have a great day.

Haven't seen anybody bring up the thought that these first 125 will be hugely collectible if this goes ahead. I mean HUGE. Even if you never play the bass or don't like the 19 mm spacing you will have an investment grade bass. I know there are some collectors in this group and I surmise that they see the value and have already placed their orders. I am really considering it for that reason alone. I really hope there is some subtle difference to differentiate these 125 but the SN alone should be enough to keep me happy.

There have been several on here saying it will not happen. Personally, I believe that it will.

Personally, I hope this works and the 19" becomes a production model, even though I'm not concerned with spacing. I just want to try one. :p
