Totally off topic, but I know you guys know alot despite your "toadying". My band is pretty new so we're still learning about this stuff.
I have a Peavey XR684 150W at 8 ohm (200W at 4 ohm) powered mixer with two Peavey XLS2 8 ohm (rated 300W) 12 inch/horn cabs. Our vocalist is the only thing going through it right now, but it seems unhappy competing with the instrument amps when we play out.
Do you think I'll get more bang for the buck getting two extra cabinets to run it at 4 ohms or should I sell this setup and get a more powerful amp and higher rated cabs? I'm sort of on a budget after I got my Sterling and my Markbass rig
