I'm guessing the alder one will have a piezo bridge fitted as it's routed for 3 pots, in line with the current control layout for a piezo loaded Petrucci model. If so, you've forgotten to drill a hole for the mag/piezo selector switch :D

Unless the mysterious 3rd pot routing is a browning control for the top secret, built in toaster. :D

Dang nabit!
Now I retract my earlier statement about the shorter scale. :p
I want a 24.75 scale 7 to tune up a whole step to play around with. Maybe if MM made a 7 string version of this it would be cool.
I still think something looks funky with the headstock. Maybe because it's tilted back.

Hey Bucket bot

nice to see that you are coming around. Im also glad that there is room in the guitar spectrum for more than Brian Moore and Gibson.

It may not be for everyone, but we make exactly what our artists want. It has been really fun and the guitar looks really good finished. Its funny the market brands your brand so to speak and we are a bolt on company Fender is too. Gibson and PRS are set neck. Fender and gibson have tried to switch and have never gained very much acceptance. We will see how it goes. The bottom line if it is a guitar that John loves Im sure that some of the public will too.

The Brian Moore remark was more of a stab at Gibson. I worked for the acoustic division here for about 6 years(you got any positions open down there? :D ) and just got really tired of Les Pauls/Gibsons and such.
And don't worry, I'm a very loyal EBMM player now. I haven't touched another one of my guitars since I got my Silhouette and JP7.(With another JP7 on the way)
Well, I guess I do play an old 80's Ibanez in a Dio tribute band.
Plus, once I actually get to play one of these I'd be willing to bet that I order one. :p

Bucketbot,

Don't let em catch ya playing anything but a Gibby, you'll be like those Mass Produced Beer guys that got unceremoniously downsized for drinking the competitor... :D

Dio has rocked for a long long time...but now it's time to pass the torch...

Love the Meatwad avatar too...

What exactly will JP be using this for?

And I take it the original JP6 will be staying in production?

Not sure why he needs it, but I'll be watching closely when I see DT live in August :)

yeh, i'm seeing them in October in London, can't wait.

I just can't really see why he needs a 24.75 fixed bridge...

The binding looks awesome though

Yeah! At least I know you guys are cool. Anyone who pulls out the "D" in response on this forum is okay by me. Hell yeah!
