Its funny because I was on the phone with JP twice today. The first one was to subtly tell him that I knew he would hate proto24. He didnt even plug it in he disliked it sooo much.

On the seccond call I told him that posting that we are close when we arre just protoing as usual causes a big ripple. I am going to call him tommorow and tell him about petes 42 calls.

He loves the 20th style with the tone block and has added the d sonic's...we are working from there but arent close I promise you. At some point you have to ditch the conspiracy plots and trust me. I havent mislead you yet. ( when I do it will be BIG!)

Thanks for the clarification. Who knows? Maybe JP feels one of the protos is close and that it won't take much to get it right. I passed on the Dargie because in the end, I didn't want to buy a guitar for the sake of buying a Dargie. Just wasn't right for me. A new JP however, would be different. If there is a production run of the proto he used at Radio City, I'd order one. I was at that show and have heard the thing live, through his rig. I'd have to just place the order and deal with the fallout later.

Purty. But as an owner of a 2005 JP7, i can tell you that those of you who are waiting are missing out on playing a fantastic guitar TODAY. While i'm looking forward to seeing how the JP model is going to evolve, i have absolutely ZERO regrets about owning a current-generation JP7 (and not even an updated model with the DSonic-7). It's just an incredible guitar.
