If that maple-top Petrucci is announced tomorrow, I've got my ca$h in hand and I'm running down to my local dealer!

I'll have plastic in hand, and Pete will get an e-mail. I'll find a way to pay for it later. Okay, maybe I won't buy it right away, but it won't wait beyond next summer.

LMAO...

But if you folks ever decide to make a commemorative plate, I bet it would sound incredible! :D

Commerative etched Martini Glasses.........

If the new models that are released are production models then they'll be around for a "guitar fund" purchase. If other ultimate SE's and LE's are released then the game changes. My original desire for purchase was the Y2D, but since it's production, I can wait, but since Santa and his elves have been tinkering at the West Pole I had to have a couple of the Tickle Me Elmo releases....... marketing bastages....:D

I simply welcome any new designs or ideas and if it takes off to benefit the longevity of EBMM down the road....I am all for it. I think the 20th Silo will still be "exclusive" as it is what it is...still a 20th Silo that only so many were made. A petrucci model, Luke model...or what ever makes it just that ....a guitar similar to the 20th, but all together different. I don't know the business like Big Poppa and company....so, I can't tell them "Don't make this or that" as it takes food off of his table. Who am I do question him......I only question the limit of my bank account or credit cards...LOL

Make what ever you need to. Do what you have to do. My 2 pennies.

We are now at the pinnacle of entitlement!

When we do an anniversary model we attempt to pay tribute to the past and at the same time use the anniversary to introduce where we are going. We chose to introduce the mahog tone block in the twentieth as an example of where we are going and have never represented that it would be exlusive.

Using your guys logic (?) our future anniversary models would not embrace any future design/finishes and just be a special decal.

Plese understand that we hurt ourselves by offering you guys so much product. If we had just done the 20th we would have sold a bucketload more. So by us doing what you guys dont want me to do only made your guitar more collectable.

You guys really think that we should spend YEARS prototyping alternative materials, renewable materials, 100 different wood combinations and then limit is to 400? If I divided the R&D costs to come up with this wonderful combination of tone woods, these guitars would have been unaffordable.

Remember it isnt the Franklin Mint....it's a guitar.

Whatever, you rule and you know it.

Pass the bottle around again, someone's holding up the line.

I understand the cool down sentiment that some of you mentioned, but some of us sat out for this year's dances... hoping for certain ideas to see the light of day.

Same here, I'm saving a spot on the Visa :)

BP,

Is the 'maple Petrucci' necessarily the 'next-generation' Petrucci guitar?

I was imagining that the maple top might just be some sort of '07 Limited Edition, and that the 'next generation' model will turn up when JP is fully satisfied with whatever tweaks he has in mind.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to put in an order for the 20th. :(
