Question about endorsed guitarists

i think i read that Dave Mustaine left Jackson (after Fender bought em) cuz they would only give him 1 free guitar/year ...

so depending on who you are im sure they get a certain number for free ... dunno about any extra $

Hi guys,

Interesting topic. While we won't divulge what agreements we have with our family members we can say that they are very well taken care of. Any need they have for a guitar, guitar parts or accessories is never a problem. We pride ourselves in our service to all endorsers, but when it concerns our key artists we are available day and night, Saturday and Sunday and holidays.

got to watch Vinnie though he likes to leave prank call's on my cell.

Rather uncomfortable, the chop chop.

Frankly, and you guys can print this...Anytime I've needed to call EBMM for any reason everyone's been more than happy to accomodate from new switches to R/A's...there's no reason to play anything else...really.

So Raz,

Have you developed you specs for EBMMRAZ (or EBMMERKLE) yet?
What features can we look forwart to?
Any custom colours? ;)

Oh my gosh...I got to go into the endorsement scene......this will take aot to tact (i hate tact, just like NoRm and his siamese twin kbaim) I don't want to talk about anyone elses finances or deals as that is their business, not ours. Even if it wasn't many of the endorsed artists that don't play EBMM, endorse our strings and accessories.

So there are many levels of product endorsement. It depends on your stature and infleunce. The deals on endorsements for our company start with a limited amount of purchasing direct at a good price to full blown tons of free stuff. We don't pay anybody to play our strings or instruments. If we offer a signature instrument, that artist participates in the revenue. It is not a compelling amount, but is only fair If we are directly using the artists design input along with his/her name and likeness. You guys are pretty sharp so you can probably work backwards and figure that the cash is not a big factor in the retail prices of the instrument.

If a Mjsic man artist uses one of our instruments in a video, they get another one of their choice for free. This is just good business.

more later

In setting up an effective and fair artist relations program it has to be able to handle the artist on the rise ath their peak, and when their star has faded somewhat.

Simple a 7 string SUB7 :D ...with a mirrored pickguard. OUCH! Now who says I don't know squat!

well, Big Poppa's got me wanting an endorsement deal! I'll have to hurry up and get famous... hahahha. Well, they seem to like to make signature guitars for guys named Steve (Lukather, Morse) so maybe there's a chance! ;)

Does this just apply to music videos?
Cause if Tommy Lee ever took up the guitar.......wow!

What does "tact" mean

I played Mjsic Man guitars in my videos when I played on TV. Oh yeah, I'm a MM endorser not an endorsee. Oh and I played Music Man Guitars.

FWIW I got a regular weekly gig at the biker bar. They like me :D
and another gig this Saturday and Sunday

Thanks BP, that clears some of the smoke surrounding the topic. I'm not interested in prices or how large the reduction in price is for the signature artists for their instruments. That is, indeed, something between EBMM and them. But when attending DP shows with Steve or Dream Theater shows with John, I'm always stuck in awe by the number of guitars they carry along and that's what made me raise the question.

Share as much as you can and/or like BP. It's all intersting to know.

Gr, Tom.

Unfortunately, Tommy Lee did indeed take up the guitar during his short-lived solo career. I think he's learned his lesson though, and will now go back to a useful existence as a level-stage indicator. ;) Jongitarz will be happy to explain... :D

That may be a good idea all in intself ... There aren't too many affordable 7-strings on the market...
Maybe not just a mirrored pickguard, but a whole broken mirror top a-al Paul Stanley's Iceman :D ? What do you think Raz?

When the drool comes out of both side of his mouth, you know the stage is level :D
