Funny thing was that whilst laying there on the beach observing, I felt like breaking out into a solo with plenty of "feeling" ................

.........and a big grimace at the end........

........ and no, I didn't have a guitar ! :D :D :D
Man you make me laugh. I remmeber being 12 and my first day of learning to surf at that very beach and I ended up smashing my head on my mates board after a nasty wipeout. Been a while since I have been to that beach though. As for whoever mentioned the Forgotten Pt 2, the beauty of FIABD is that you can go the opposite route and watch JS go totally mental on his most unrelenting song in 'The Bells of Lal pt 2', which is a song I just love but nobody else ever seems to mention, and to me it is the high point of that album.

fookin hell, I just got round to reading this thread! jeez it was lengthy!

Well ive learnt something from it!
First off Aussies have the phrase dickhead(did you nick that one from the mrs or is it native? :p ), JimmyB doesnt like beetroot (i'm afraid we can no longer be friends!) and this forums has been infiltrated by right **** stirrers so far this year!

We clearly all like different things, none of which is crap (hey i'm not immune to thinking it), strangely enough its all been guitar players (not strange you may think) but think about it, we all as they do PLAY an instrument we have sweated to do so, we havent popped up on a tv program and been autotuned to death!
I'd love to be able to shred like Gilbert, I'd love to be able to put as much emotion into a note as Beck. I doubt i ever will be able to.
Anyhows no doubt ive pissed someone off now !

I often hear about these "Feel players" who concentrate on milking all the "emotion" out of each note. These players often have a condescending and demeaning attitude towards shredders. /.../

Yeah... 'cause Yngwie is such a humble guy.

Dizzy,
Your wit is truly devastating. Terms like "Dickhead", "Pissweak" (repeated twice for extra impact) and your talk of milfs on the beach reveal a certain blue collar charm, of which I have never before witnessed firsthand. You've really displayed an incredible level of maturity and sophistication, which I'm sure informs your guitar playing and general outlook on life. How silly of me to think that in my infantile state of development I could possibly fathom the depth of your emotion and bluesy wisdom. I guess one has to reach a certain level of maturity before vulgarities like "dickhead" and the timeless Australian salutation "Oi" can be truly appreciated. I guess I'm not there just yet. I need more time to mature and grow, before I can appreciate all the art that you value so highly. (In case you haven't noticed, I'm being sarcastic....Didn't want this to go over your head)
