No flame here, I'm just assuming that me and tm are just polar opposites when it comes to our interpretation of music.
Neverdid I state that music was all emotional visceral, I stated that there was more to music than the structure behind it. I'm originally a classically trained pianist and trumpet player, before guitarist, no need for the flame there. I've also never stated I was a bluesman. (Which is the ironic part about this whole thing) I'm not, my position regarding this whole discussion has been the blatant flaming of one genre of music. While you said you did not mean to be discourteous, I accept and respect that, but you'll understand if a lot of people felt you did, with your terse and almost disrespectful tone regarding lots of players. While I don't mean to judge you directly, but you certainly could have stated things more diplomatically, as could have I.
Like I stated before, saying "Blues ain't my cup of tea" is not the same as "Same repetitive 3 chord garbage for years."
I'll learn to interpret your diction as passion opposed to abrasiveness, it's the least I can do. This is the internet after all, and I've never met you. Agree to disagree, I can most certainly do that.
My name is Steve, nice to meet you, welcome to the forums, stick around and I'll see you around the boards.
