Les, Hahahahahahaha, this is really up Jeff's alley, he's the lover of the Axis. Hard tail Axis are rare your right about that. As far as colors and one offs, hmmm, I'll have to think/search.

So there are the BFR runs. Ball Family Reserve | Ernie Ball Music Man

The Tributes, seem rarer these days.

I always feel the HSS and SSS Axis Sports to rare and sometimes a super deal.

Looks like Jeff's page is still flash based, it doesn't seem to want to let me view anything, he's got tons of them.

I'll post more when I come across them.

P.S. It doesn't exist without pictures!!!!!!

Here is my 2014 Neptune blue PDN Axis. As far as I know only 2 were made in the BFR quilt package...

I’ve commented on your Axis before Greg but I’ll say it again…I think that’s my favorite one that I’ve ever laid eyes on!

Music Man really started killing it with the blue colors about 7 or 8 years ago. Neptune blue BFRs, Blueberry Burst on the Lukes, that Aqua Blue quilt on the Axis BFRs, Balboa blue, now the Yucatan blue on the 2021 Axis. Blue is my favorite color, so I’m definitely biased but still…

I love the Axis guitar. The body shape is what works for me. Long before the Axis, there was the Gretsch Beast that I once owned in '79. The body was almost identical.

The Axis is my favorite body style. Thanks for mentioning the Gretch. I had no idea. You’re right, they are almost identical. FFD1A4A9-AA17-48F8-9966-95C7783C016D.jpeg
