Many thanks in advance :p;):D

Rub it in! You sir own my only regret (you never forget your first)... It couldn't be in better hands though, but I like to pretend one day it might come back across the Atlantic. A kid can dream can't he. :). In the meantime I'm happy she's with you. The 20th (and the upcoming roasted) helped alleviate some of the pain too. :)

I was looking at your Twin Pictures to help imagine the Roasted fretless and alas there was the Dargie. You have some of the most beautiful instruments ever made Oli.... indeed.

I'm a maple f/b kinda guy so this really didn't engage my interest at first but now I am experiencing the "Bongo Effect".
It's growing on me.

i could see myself with a big al 4 sss :)

MrM

ME TOO!! Can anyone tell me how close the SSS 4 can get me to a Paul Spencer Denman ( Sade bassist) tone? THAT would be the deciding factor for me! I have to get that sound!

Peace,

T

Just ordered mine from Bass Central!

I was originally going to go with a Stingray 4H but with my Bongo 4HH Dargies Delight II on the way, I opted to go with a Roasted Bongo 4H to compliment the Dargie!

I'm kind of weird in that I like to buy my basses in pairs. That way if one goes down, I have either the same model and configuration or same model with similar configuration set up as a back up or just as another bass to compliment the first one. I was thinking about going with a 4HH to match the Dargie but I wanted to try the 4H to have a little something different too. I really love the sounds and tones that I get from my Classic and Sterling 4H's so I wanted to add a Bongo with the same set up into the mix.

Nice! I was torn between a Roasted Bongo 4H and a Roasted Big Al 4H, but the mahogany body and additional versatility of the preamp convinced me to go with the Big Al. I do think the Bongo will look awesome with the roasted neck.

That is a great choice, I think the Bongos are going to look phenomenal in this black sugar roasted maple concoction.

Hmmm... I may have to see if this approach works for convincing Mrs.sitonmybass that I need more basses. I think I'll keep it to myself that EBMMs don't actually ever "go down."

They sure get down, though.

I guess that makes the Bongo 5H the "secret atomic bomb" :D

I'm a Bongoloid and I approve this message.

I would agree with you if the body color was not limited to Black Sugar. I'm not particularly into black basses... they disappear on stage.

Ok, but this one will disappear in a sparkly, shiny way:D-
It also would not be bad if it made me disappear a bit on stage:rolleyes:.

(Well, if I get The Big Al 5 H in that color, I´ll show some pictures...)
