This is actually really difficult. I have the means to purchase this (if no one has already snatched it) But I sold so much stuff to provide me with those means with the intent of buying a Dargie that I can't figure out what to do.

Obviously guitars are a personal thing, but if anyone could provide a reason to go in one direction or the other I could use some help here. I asked my wife and she said "your plan was the Dargie, stick with it". I trust her because she doesn't get caught up in the excitement like I do, but that thing is freakin' sweet.

Do it Chicken, BP said the DD2's would be available for a while. You need a rosewood neck in your arsenal. You know it.

Well a non lefty opinion, to me there is only one Dargie and they were made in 2006, the new dargie is a different color still a green but, no martini inlays, so to me not a true dargie except by name, the original dargies are rare, me thinks the new ones will be much more common while a rosewood neck lefty well not many and in that color wow, just food for thought:D

PS: Just call Nick you lefties need to deal with your own kind;)

Ok...I'll take the opposite view:

Have you always wanted a Dargie? I'm not even sure there is really a right answer....but since you have worked towards getting the Dargie...I think I would agree with your wife and go with your original plan...let the cooler head prevail. It really is too easy to get distracted on here...but I can't imagine you would be wishing you pulled the trigger on something else after the Dargie arrived...they are just too cool!

I hope this doesn't sound too silly, but I've always wanted the color shifting paint job, but the purple on the Mystic Dream isn't my thing. The color shifting on the new Dargies looks great. I'm also a big fan of ebony fretboards. But again, that guitar is sick. Whatever I buy will be my last purchase for a long time since there will be a baby in 2months.

That's the reason I sold my stuff as opposed to using real money. My wife bought me the two BFR's but were sticking to a budget and there is no chance of getting both unless I sell some amps which I'm not going to do. Arghhhhhhh.

Well I called. And to make things more complicated it was far less than I figured it would be. Could anyone tell me what the Orange Firemist looks like in person? I can't tell form the picture what the paint actually looks like. Is it metallic?
If I were a mutant lefty, I'd have already called pete for that guitar. Then I would order a DD2 also.

That's just not a possibility. Bkrumme, you have a Rosewood neck right? How would you describe it?

There is a lot of pearl/metallic in the paint, the lighting wouldn't let me capture it today. If the guitar is still around tomorrow afternoon I will take a better picture. The rosewood feels amazing, my JP with all-rosewood neck has jumped to the #1 slot over my Dargie.
