School of Bass Part Deux (Question for "The Dude")

This in over the weekend from core instructor Ray Riendeau...those of you who ride be careful.

"Bad news! I got in a motorcycle accident. I was out on my Harley last Sun morning and a guy attempted to turn right in front of me. To avoid a head on collision I swerved to the right, avoided his car but crashed in the street. I'm ok (thank God) but pretty banged up. I have some road rash but my worst injury is my left hand. I fractured my thumb and sprained some fingers.
I saw a hand specialist today and he said it will take 6 to 8 weeks to heal then some therapy after that.

As far as SOB2 I don't foresee a problem with my instructor duties but as for a performance I really can't say at this time. I will keep you all updated on my progress."

I hate to say it, but this is what I fear about getting a motorcycle for myself. My best wishes go to him. Hopefully his "Groove Therapy" will get him back in shape.

It's hard to say right this moment. Things are looking good, though. I'm currently trying to secure a new job, so I'll know for sure by next month where I'm headed... SOB II is definitely on the front of my mind!

Yup, he also played with Lynne Davis and did a jam with Andy West last time. He's best known as the drummer on the TV informercials for Esteban. (hey, it pays well!)

Good news....just spent an hour on the phone with one of my all time legends and he's now onboard and will not only be the featured artist on Friday...he wants to come and hang with everyone all three days...any guesses??

I'd say he's in the top 5 bass players of all time right up there with Jamerson and Jaco...

That's what I did after I hung up the phone with him today after coming to an agreement...plus this cat is not going to fly in, do a 90 minute gig, get paid and fly back out. He said he wants to be there the entire 3 days and hang so he will be there throughout the entire event!!
