Serial Numbers : What is the production date of my guitar?

Music Man Axis A91473. This guitar has a rosewood fretboard and volume and tone controls. 3 way toggle under volume and tone knobs. I was wondering the rareities of an Axis like this. Its trans. amber.

Not too many of these were made at all - Less than 50 total. Yours was made on 10/07/97 and was shipped to GC #443 in Houston.

I would take extra care with it, but I would never suggest putting a guitar away - guitars are made to be played!

97739 - Silhouette Special, HSS trem, Pearl Purple, maple, shipped to Germany May 13 1996
G34548 - Luke BFR Bahama / Sparkle back, shipped to GC built July 3, 2007

I actually called EBMM about 12-14 years ago to ask if they had any kind of 'registration' of who/where their EVH guitars were. I love this idea now.

My brother's big into EBMM too and just got me on to this site. Well done and excellent!

Glenn, Holy manoli, Batman! This Axis Sport trem w/MM90 was built on 1/16/02. It has what we called a "Copper Pink" finish. It was auctioned off at a Casey Lee Ball golf fundraising event in January 2002, I'm pretty sure. A one-of-a-kind I believe.

EVHMM 83116 blue (was stolen, but recovered now!!) 1/06/93 shipped to Ed's Guitars, St Louis MO.
