Hi,

I'd like some info on L99243, it is for sale and I'd like to find out what year it was made. The neck plate seems to have an engraving above the usual logo.

Thanks.

Sure, it was built on 05/04/00. It shows as a Axis SuperSport HH, standard bridge, maple board, matching headstock, originally was sent to Drum City GuitarLand.

Dan

For the record I bought this Axis Super Sport, it arrived today. It's a lefty in tobacco burst.

I would also like some info on my two other guitars please:

Silo Special 99100 ( no leading #)
Super Sport L04114

Thanks

Sure! Glad you got the SuperSport.

99100 - Left-handed HSS Silhouette Special (likely one of the first ones) in Pearl Green with a maple board - built 11/14/96 and shipped to Germany.

L04114 - Axis SuperSport with rosewood top and all-rosewood neck - built on 6/30/05 and shipped to Drum City GuitarLand near Denver, Colorado.

cool -

Thanks for that Dan !

I special ordered that Pearl Green Silo in the mid '90s but wasn't sure when, it's been a while. 1996, I have it 13 years now, how time flys. I'm in Ireland so it must have gone to a dealer in Germany before making it's way here.
The rosewood Axis I got off ebay a few months ago.
Thanks again.

With the original Wilkinson tremolo system and Grover lockers - they were only shipping around 6 months like that before the new Music Man tremolo and the Schallers we still use now were employed.

I love that color (I have one like it but righty and standard bridge), and the guitar looks like it has been cared for well. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm, I made a seperate post on this - probably should have posted in this thread first (sorry about that). Just bought this unit:

EB MM Axis (top looks tobacco burst to me): SN G.37621.

Hoping someone @ EB can tell me when it was made. Also, if it is known
what unit number of the production run, that would be great too. (ex. unit 50 of 1000, etc).

thanks in advance,
tom

ps - thrilled to be playing an Axis again.

Tom, welcome to the Forum, and welcome back to the EBMM family! Your Honeyburst / maple Axis was built on 10/30/07. There really aren't production runs in the sense that we make "x" amount of units at a time. Every guitar is built individually.

All reet!
