Bigballz I will say past is past the future is the future. Let's go on in a different manner into the future than the past and all will be good.

You agree Beth has one fine looking ride?

I'll bet she's a terror on the boulevard...to paraphrase the Beach Boys! :D

Let's put it this way...if I was like 10-15 years younger, a foot taller and unattached I'd ride in Beff's trunk on a bumpy road all day long.

Looks sweet Beth .. But I'm afraid it's a bit different over here in Holland. Instead of being sweet, slightly out-of-the-ordinary li'l ole euro cars, Saabs are generally driven by manic senior sales reps trying to prove they're better (i.e. faster and more dangerous) than the ones in the more run-of-the-mill fleet cars, or else at cat's wives cluttering the roads on grocery/kid fetching/beauty parlour/pilates trips ...

From what the general thread has said since you posted, I bet it looks extra special with the top down and the pilot "on seat".

Nothing like that for me tho .. Look at my sig ... I haven't even been able to afford a new guitar since the 80's ... All my recent spending has been on about $ 25,000 worth of Pilates equipment for my wife's studio ... there again, that's an investment :)

Hey BigBallZ,
Sorry - didn't mean 2 konfuse ...

What I'm saying to Mr Light is that oldtime country & bluegrass pickers are shy about electric bass sounds with otherwise all acoustic instruments and soft harmony vocals ...

I need a good, phat and smooth sounding amp to match my SR5 Piezo

My Big TE rig is not portable enough, and my SWR Workinman 12 doesn't have quite the smoothness and phatness mid-neck on the B string where I get really good 'upright' type tones

If I can find the right amp to match my SR5, I can probably help
sell a few more Music Man basses to upright players,
or, I can get gigs where 'uprights' don't like to go

It's about the *music* ...
and I'd still like to hear more of your experiences !!! :)

It's so nice to see a post from you that is actually understandable. I wouldn't mind if you made a habit out of using that kind of language and spelling more, as I really want to understand your posts.
Thank you:)

Strummer,

Thanks for your directness and sincerity; input like yours on this forum has challenged me to put the misery of my previous 'corporate life' behind me.

I sense a great opportunity for music and musicians in my area over the coming weeks, months and years.

I'm looking forward to some 'seriously fun' times !! :)

Anyone who may be interested in the Trace 4x10 and 2x10 cabinets can email me and I will send pics.

I just looked at all of their new stuff, and I want it a lot. The control illumination is a neat feature that I wish more manufacturers would use. Plus, it's sexy!:D

Not a good portent for Trace-Elliot's future in the US when you have to do this sort of thing to help Peavey get it right .. eh?

Hi Kevin,

Oops! Thanks for pointing that out to us. It has been corrected.

Hi from another webmaster (as well as a bass player) ....

On you page http://www.peavey.com/products/index.cfm/go/ampsmi you have
the old Trace-Elliot link of www.trace-elliot.co.uk - this link does not
work, but you can find Trace Elliot at www.traceelliot.com ..

Thanks,

Peavey

"to help Peavey get it right"

Now I have been known to be outspoken.......(duh REALLY Jim?), however, I do use Ampeg and love the stuff, but when I could not afford it, I used Peavey....and If you guys go to www.person2personmusic.com click on "All I Need, Live version", that was a Peavey Mark 4 with two, 2-10 1-18 bottoms and it was one of the best sounding rigs I ever played through.
