We can all do that bro and have. More than once.

Playing bass is about listening and hearing. Took me a long while to understand what the wife has been telling me about my selective hearing for the last 30 years.

Not to worry I have heard you play. Ampeg is working for you just keep doing it and spreading the word.

Just remember the world is what is because someone tried something different than the standard.

Oh and I like plenty of standards and ain't changing one of them

Ampeg, my friend, Ampeg.

Yup, Ampeg are great, particularly for the more rawk-oriented stuff. I just find the Trace (and Ashdown) gets closer to the tone that's needed for my current situation.

Just curious... What type of music are you currently playing these days?

Difficult to say really. I've just got together with some guys I used to be in a band with years ago and we're jamming around with ideas to see what we gel with. Judging from last night's practice, it may well go a bit more rawk than I was expecting. We'll see...

I just saw Trace Elliot in my Musicians Friend magazine. $944.99 for a 715 500W 15" combo.

I think i'll stick with GK. :p

Andrew

My guess is that one would have to wait until all the hype dies down, then maybe some deals can be made. But, I know what you mean. That happens to be another perk about Ampeg, it's affordable!:D

IMHO Peavey will not redo the Trace line they will offer it up as was.

Peavey has it's name and so does Trace. Both are honorable amps.

Distinct sound.

Peavey is going to give you the best of both worlds and make some money off both worlds.

Novel buisness concept sure. Unthinkable no.

IMHO

This is true. Like Fender with their amp line and SWR with their gear. Speaking of Peavey, I noticed in the new DVD I got of Duran Duran Live in London, that both the bassist (John Taylor) and Guitarist (Andy Taylor) used Peavey amps. They both sounded incredible. John even used a Pre-EB Stingray during one of the songs they performed. A DVD worth checking out.:D

I believe their intention is to handle distribution i.. not run Trace Elliot R&D ...

That looks like a really steep price to pay for a T/E .. especially since there are many goos second-hand "green carpet boxes" out there in the world.
