Because you're average buyer of a decent guitar would like to have a little more information to go on instead of having to hunt down this information on a manufacturers FORUM. GC is your largest instrument retailer (correct me if I am wrong) and have scant information on MM products on a daily basis. How is that? So my options are to order the guitar from one of three dealers on here? I have not had horrible experiences with GC, as a matter of fact their no questions asked return policy(30 days) is the reason I prefer to shop there as it has saved me from having to stick with a couple terrible purchases over the years. I've also cut quite a few decent deals haggling with them, so I dont really see them as the devil. Maybe you're right about them not producing them yet..who knows...been a while since NAMM though you figure there would be maybe some more info and a few more pics.

You're refering to marketing here. The flow of information along the supply chain. For EBMM, it's obvious they prefer to remain as the industry's best kept secret, and to control information to a certain extent, perpetuating the myth. Most people out there KNOW EBMM Guitars by reputation, but not many have tried it. So most of what you get is hearsay. If a burst in sales is what EBMM wants, then I'm sure they'd do it differently.

But I think for some personal reasons, BP seems to want to keep his business a small family affair. I can understand that too.

Perhaps I'm being selfish, but I like to think of my EBMMs as my hidden weapons, and hope they remain this way...

Oh, the GAS is too much. I think something is going to give. I spent some time tonight at GC playing Silo's, an AL, and even the JP6 again. I've concluded that I'm sold on the Silo Special. I just need to figure out whether to go HSS or SSS. Any thoughts Rob??? :D

They didn't have an SSS to play. So, I'm guessing it will sound kind of like the AL I played tonight.

You think this ONE LE08 is enough for me??? I'll be hunting for an SSS Silo Spec soon after. I'm just trying to decide the colour...:D

P.S, The SS is Alder, the AL is Ash. I believe they sound very different...:p

I plan to make my purchase tomorrow morning. I'm going to sleep on the HSS versus SSS config. I've made my mind on a tremelo, RW FB, and matching HS. It's just the PUP config. Any last comments on the two configs?

Order a HSS, ad a spare, pre-wired SSS pickguard assembly. Then you can swap whenever!!!!

Well done!!! That's one pup away from mine!:D (Mine's HSS)

The brotherhood is growing :D So, it looks like there are three ordered so far. I can't wait to see the first 2008 LE Silo pictures. I hope it looks as great as I dream it to be. Looks like yours may be the first.

According to another thread there were only 32 x 2007 LE Silo's built (which were gorgeous). Any bets on how many 2008 LE Silo's will end up being placed by the end of their run?

Making a wild guess here - between 30 to 40s. Including dealers' order. ;)

I'm dying to see one.
I'm guessing eBay may show us first!
