or my personal favorite, "poo"

Anything that begins or ends with "oo" is #1 in my book (or is it #2? LOL!)

Turd in the punchbowl alert! *makes fart noise* ;) :D

And that concludes my immature fun for today!

Sorry, I was having a bad afternoon. Didn't mean to spoil the party. To get things back on track:

You know who drives me up the wall? The Grateful Dead. Oh, how I hate them, and all the horrible jam band wank-fests that they've spawned over the years.

Is that better? :D

ROTFLMAO + a very wholehearted 2! :D

I went to Humboldt State University in Northern California. I was surrounded by it every day of my first year there in the HSU dorms.... it drove me absolutely insane. I couldn't understand how there was this whole entire movement of mysticism around this "wank-fest"...LOL!

I agree 500% on the Grateful Dead...... I quite simply abhor their music.....

I tried to listen.....for years...... But I have to say, I think they suck.....

............and that hideous Phish band as well......

Micky by Tony Basil....just vile and I seem to remember her doing some similarly horrendous dance to it

That's an old Chinn/Chapman song. It was originally done by the group "Racey".

But they were all guys and the song was called "Kitty".

And no cheerleaders.

It sucked even then........ :D

There is a song by Jefferson Starship called "Planes".

It makes me pray for nuclear winter!

If you ever see the video, you will laugh your ass off!

Racey were from Weston-Super-Mare a small seaside town where I was working in a bank at the time of their short-lived fame.. They had 2 hits "Lay Your Love On Me" & "Some Girls" ("Some girls will, some girls won't, some girls need a lot of loving and some girls don't" sheer poetry). It is VERY worrying that you know about their B-sides....they are definitely best forgotten.

I think I have at least one copy of everything that Chinn & Chapman worked on.

I'm a big fan of all that RAK stuff. Especially Smokie, Mud, & The Sweet.

I actually have a CD of Racey with like 20 songs on it! :)

I've been to Weston-super-Mare. On one of my many jaunts to England.

The Sweet! Desolation Boulevard was one of my first favorite albums. I'll take a three minute power pop song over a 25-minute meandering jam (with or without the eight-minute drum solo) any day of the week.

What's RAK?

RAK was the record label and I'm with you all the way on 3-minute pop songs.

Mud played the end-of-term dance at University....they were awesome. Smokie were pretty good too and Sweet made some classic tracks.

So Ritchie....got any New World?? Australian acoustic trio with afros.

I don't have anything by them. But, I think they did the original "Living Next Door To Alice" recording... I've never heard it or even seen anything by them.

Speaking of RAK. Up until a few years ago, there was a local studio here called Luna. It was run by a guy who was under contract to Mickie Most & RAK as a studio guitarist back in the 1970's

I did a bunch of stuff out there. Most memorable was remixing and remastering a solo CD by Terry Furlong from the Grass Roots.

Yes I think they did do "Alice" also "Sister Jane" & "Tom Tom Turnaround"and a version of "Rose Garden".....pretty much forgotten now, but not unpleasant, Amazon UK offers a greatest hits album, with the afros intact on the cover....ah the memories. Anyway enough hi-jacking......songs we can't stand....
