Anything by those horrible morons U2. Worst band ever, and surprise surprise, worst songs ever. Anything they've ever done could be #1 on my list of worst songs ever, most notibly "Pride In The Name Of Love." Ugh, I can't stand them!

Yes I always sprint for the "Off" button. All so horribly earnest.

that was Kim Carnes wasn't it? Does my memory serve me correct? I know Tori Amos covered that song. Another completely talentless millionaire. :)

I wish I was half as untalented as Tori Amos.

No,no no.....this thread is for songs you can't stand and gratuitous abuse of the people who produced them.

If you want to dispute people's choices and indulge in reasoned argument you'll have to start another thread. Otherwise we'll have all the U2 fans on here next.

What a great thread!! So,so funny!:D

This "song" became a No. 1 hit here in Norway a couple of months ago. I remember I couldn't believe it. It's a jingle for Grandiosa "Lørdagspizza" ("Saturday-pizza").

I've personally seen people in their 30s and 40s take cd-singles down from the shelf in music stores (the cover of the cd looks exactly like the pizza-box), paying for it and walking out with smiles on their faces.
Teenagers has it on their Ipods and as ringtones on their cellphones. It's crazy.

The chorus:

Lørdagspizza
We're talking true love
We're talking total perfection
"Digg" (something good to eat) with real beef
For the young and the old and the spoilt kids
Eight pots of sour cream dressing
Grandiosa Lørdagspizza

Enjoy:

The pizza taste like crap by the way, but it's extremely popular.

Don't think I'll be moving to Norway in the near future.

Yes, why go there when you can come to the US and have

"Fish heads, fish heads
Roly-poly fish heads"

 :D :D
"Eat 'em up....Yum!"
Somewhere here I have an EP (remember those?) of that song in the shape of & over a photo of....a fish head. I have to dig that up. Wonder if there are "Lost In Space" collectors who will pay big for that?

I am really great friends with Billy Mumy who wrote that song. It was a JOKE song believe me. I think his only real hit song. haha He is a great guy and "gets the joke" but is also a talented guy for real.

I got one inspired by the Bobby Goldsboro rave:
"Watching Scotty Grow" hahaha
I believe that was written for Scotty Ball, probably when he was around 13 with his first one handed Playboy magazine read. hahahaha

Man, I love Billy Mumy. A total hero of mine when I was a little kid. I wrote him probably 18 years ago and sent him a LIS photo to get signed. He sent it back and I was thrilled.

I remember "Fish Heads"! I remember the video was pretty hilarious too -- weren't the fish heads singing?

OK, "She's Like the Wind" from Dirty Dancing. Patrik Swayze should keep his "smouldering look" to just movies. That video was a smouldering piece of crap...

Fair enough. What is up with that Billy Joel song "You may be right, I may be crazy..."? Damn I hate that song.

"Spirit In The Sky" by Norman Greenbaum makes my (false) teeth ache!

I HATE it! And my boss LOVES it!

UGH!

Ritchie

I hold no grudge against it.....and you will grow to love it if you ever hear the version done about 5 years ago by Gareth Gates who came second in the UK "Pop Idol " contest.

The only thing vaguely interesting about him was the fact that he talked with a horrendous stammer.......I thought they should have made him sing "You ain't seen nothing yet" or "My generation". But then I'm not a very nice person.
