The black sparkle SR4 I had was a lightweight. Came in at about 8.5 lbs. too.

Both of my basses are right at 11 lbs though.

Well you got me there James. My Red is at least 9 lbs, probably one of the heavier Bongo 4's I've picked up. Still not bad though.
