The factory tour

home_center.jpg

 Don, you're killing me! I want In-N-Out now! Too bad there are none in Michigan. :(

Okay, to get back on track, I loved the story about Ernie Ball bringing the two versions of the string packaging to some 6th graders to see which ones they liked the best: day-glo colors or staid stuffy packaging.

Smelly,
no can do .. but you can have a view of my beautiful desk ;)

ps-thanks darth!!

pss-where's Beth go?? You better not be sneaking beans early!! Any verbal/typed info you can give to those that couldn't make the tour??

To use one of Beth's phrases, there's gonna be some fluffin' and scootin' going on at the factory this afternoon!

Texas is upwind, right?

I loved the factory tour too; I can’t get over how clean everything was, spotless!

Parker and I stopped at an In and Out on the way to the airport, I love those places! It was his first time at one, he said it was better than Mickey-D’s. Coming from him that is a complement!

…. great, now I’m hungry.

^ Nitehawk
I had a horse once .. his name was Grover. I miss the chap.
I'm glad you're sticking around .. we all poke fun at eachother everyday - it's in our nature ;)
Post some pics of your Y2D if you haven't yet!!

Especially after one night of Mexican food followed by BBQ and beans the next night!

nitehawk55 Someone gave me a horse once...seriously...it turns out it had cancer of the penis.....they knew it and were hoping we wouldnt notice and then pay all the bills.....

I probably prefer being with horses than people for the company

I feel much the same, although not so much with horses, but Dung Beetles.

Well, and Walking Sticks, but I assume mostly everyone feels the same about them.

I still haven't figured out whose done it yet, but if I was beej I'd be worried about losing your D.B. Cooper award at the next bash. :D

You know, Chewie, some threads are like farm-raised catfish, born in a laboratory, fed a bunch of corn and destined to behave like every other catfish in the pond.

And then there are those free-range catfish.

This thread was born to live free and wild, like a, um, catfish.

I have no problem with you NiteHawk. I had a problem with what you said. You may have meant it as a joke. I took it as serious. I responded to the insult I thought you were putting onto those that work in the factory.

My condolences on the loss of your horse that meant so much to you.

We can get to know each other and then decide if we need to go out back and have it out.

I am sorry for my part in our arguement since it was a misunderstanding. If you were serious well I would be right there to poke you in the eye.

The written world makes us all look like arses once in awhile. Eye contact is another deal.

I came real close to a two word post. I don't think anyone has to be a math major to figure those words out.

I am willing to start over clean slate.

It is too bad this thread got muddied up with other nonsense. It started out pretty cool.

It is really great to read about happy employees that have respect for their boss and vice versa. I work in a manufacturing plant as well but people never really seem to enjoy their job much. Sure we like the folks we work with, but the job itself.... 'meh. I am actually a Principal Engineer and am starting to care less and less about the company, I just want to make sure *I* don't screw up if you know what I mean. That's even getting hard to do with our lousy management.................. Whoa where did all that come from? Sorry about that.

Anyway, it is still encouraging to read about folks that are not only proud of their jobs, but proud of the company they work for.

Wait a minute, hot meals???? I work for a multi-billion dollar corporation and we don't even get coffee. ;)

And it's going to get back to being cool. Let that other stuff go, and we'll all be fine.

I'll try to clean it up a bit, but I suspect it's too 'wild and free' to submit to such an activity.
;)
