I've sworn off flying. Trying to do my bit for the environment. This is going to be a tough choice. Remain principalled or have fun and be a hypocrite.

Look at it this way, the plane is going anyway, so 1 more person won't make a huge ammount of difference.

If you bought one of the solar panels, or even had the solar heating system installed, you'd more than off-set what the flight would produce.

Go for it! Take loads of pics, because there's no way I can make it (sprog due to arrive end of September/early October)

Damn. I'm getting married the first weekend in November, so my budget won't allow for a trip to CA in Oct.

Nashville I could drive to, of course. It'd be nice if these things continued to move East to spread the cheap travel love, but the factories are in CA, so I certainly can't begrudge having them in Mecca.

I'm sure it'll be a blast. Again.

Poo - just read the part about October! Even though we've got some time to use up in October I was hoping BP would say next year as I don't think funds will allow for us this year after the move etc.

Let me start by saying that my .02 cents isn't worth much because traveling is hard for me so the odds of me attending are very, very slim.
But supporting the people and businesses of New Orleans after what our government did (or did not do) for them would be a wonderful thing.
That being said, I'm sure one of the factory tours would be incredible!
In any case, I will have many drinks in honor of the get together no matter where you are!

Palm Springs sounds fun. Never been there, but I'm a total golf addict now and it sounds good if I could make it out there.

As I mentioned in the guitar side, I'm still happy to host one on this coast in Raleigh. No shortage of great golf around here either.

While I hoping for Nashville because I can drive, I would love to see Palm Springs (golf tounrey... that sounds killer!!!!!!!!). After seeing what BP could do in SLO, I couldn't imagine what Palm Springs could be like (BP controling the food... I'm all for it!)

BP, thanks for allowing us our input, I am sure where ever you choose will be great and I am looking forward to it.

The string factory is in Coachella, California... near Palm Springs. (not Palm Beach!)

its going to be in OCT....Palm SPrings is greqt and jet blue goes to ontario california about a 75 min drive to the golden navel....I think I would have a golf tourney if it was in ps

I'm all for a golf outing BP. I just set up a new office in Orange County - driving down to PS would be easy.

Not for this gathering, but if a future EB event took the crew to Cleveland we could stage a sit-down protest at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concerning their failure to induct Ernie Ball so far.. it could get some media attention anyway.

I'm not sure I'll make any gathering in October, but here are my thoughts:

1) east coast would be a nice option for some of us, especially the Europeans who could swing the trip.

2) Paul's facility in NC sounds like an easy way to facilitate a jam without Poppa having to import the whole deal.

3) Coachella would also be cool to see the other factory, and maybe go pool hopping at BP's house...

4) We could all show up at CDA next week and crash Poppa's vacation!
