let me just touch on what has been said and maybe give a little holiday message....

The ability to help others happens every day....maybe not enough but it happens . We live in a world where the worst is featured on all media and sort of gets tatooed in our minds. The positive sells less beer and toilet paper. It takes acts of kindness like this to jar our subconscious and realize that we all have the ability to make someones life better or worse...it's our choice. Same with the input we decide to surround ourselves with....Maybe that this hit at the holidays is karma or meant to be. For the new year lets all consider the possibility of understanding the world but focusing on good, great and kind things. It just seems like a better way to live.

Thanks for allowing me to state the obvious.

email sent... now, to keep the spirit of giving going strong, I'm going to donate the strings to the local high school as well as paying for my luthier to re-string and set-up/intonate all 3 of the school's basses (even though they're not EBMM's...) I happened to pick one of them up at a holiday concert and was pretty disappointed... Thank you to everyone on this forum for making this happen for JayDawg & his wife, and a special Thank You to BP and his awesome staff - without which this could never have happened. I'm totally floored by the generosity and kindness of everyone here... absolutely amazing! Happy Holidays everyone, and Have a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous 2012! :)

Hi guys !
Thanks for the offer of strings BP, I diddnt donate my 100 quid so I could get me some strings but I really do thanks for the offer. However living in ireland it could cost you more than they are worth to send them. So if it's ok with you will you send mine to dkanned. The kid is just sixteen and gave the last 15 quid on his PayPal account, that's a pretty brave and cool thing to do.

If that's ok with you get him to send you his address

Happy Christmas guys

Dave

Jay... I am very happy for you and your family. This forum is truely the best one I have ever been apart of for reasons like this. Great job guys for your kind gifts for a very worthy cause and thanks Sterling for allowing this and your generous donations. Karma truely does go a long way as demonstrated here. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a great New Year to come. JOSH

Thank you Josh! We had a wonderful Christmas and my family truly has been touched by the many people from around the world on this site. When I joined this site a year and a half ago, I simply wanted to learn more about Music Man basses because I was thinking about adding one to my basses for a different sound over what I was currently playing. Our senior pastor at the church I was on staff at had a SUB and I really liked its tone. I then made a trade for a Sterling and fell in love with it. That same month is when Rochelle got diagnosed and our world changed but we could not believe the outpouring from everyone here from BP on down. When the Breast Cancer Awareness bass was made, I was to much of a noob here and didn't know hardly anything about the company so I asked if the bass could be built. BP really showed with that bass what kind of heart he has because he built the bass. The thing that still blows me away was I had never bought an EBMM bass before so it wasn't like I was a life long customer previously. I was a new one. Then everyone donated to our Relay for Life team and was raised somewhere over $7,000.00 from people on here and at our church. Then everyone showed us kindness again raising the money for Rochelle's re-construction surgery. We truly have been so blown away by everyone on this forum and are thankful for all of you. We also want everyone to know that if any of you are ever in a bind and we can help, we will. You all have blessed us and we want to bless back if we ever can!
Thank you all again.
Jay

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update on the strings. All of the strings have been sent out to anyone who is the US. International orders will be getting out this week. If anyone has any questions let me know. Thanks again to all!
