25th EB anniversary bass = the best options EB has to offer, all funneled into one instrument. This is going to be great.

This will be available is single H, 2 H (On the two H the bridge pick up will be where the sting ray and sterling is), HSS and SSS
The neck profile will resemble a sterling
the electronics will be based on the bongo with a few twists!!!!!!(All of you who liked the sound of the
bongo but couldnt get used to it will be happy...

There will be a passive component also

Hows that for you saturday loyalists

uh .... wow? seriously ... WOW. Just sold at least one over here.

I have to admit, I'm not extremely familiar with the Sterling's neck profile. When I've played them, though, I've always found the 1/8" difference in the nut width to be quite noticeable. For me, personally, the 1.5" nut width is just right.

Here's one Bongo player's opinion about neck profiles: after tone, the Bongo's wonderful neck profile is the 2nd feature that those with Bongo "issues" would love if they ever gave it a chance. It's another highly subjective thing, of course, but to my hands, the Bongo's neck feels best, no contest. So, my vote would be that this new bass inherit it.

But I know that you guys are considering all the factors, and maybe for reasons related to the unique balance and characteristics of this bass, a neck profile based on the Sterling will feel & function best.

I don't know that I would think of it as a cross between a Bongo and a Sterling.

And never, ever eat neodymium.

Those are two things I'm pretty clear on right now.
