My gear is two Albert Lee guitars and a Dr.Z Carmen Ghia 210 combo. I use a Fulltone Fatboost just to push the amp alittle when needed. Very simple but very effective...:)

I didnt realise how many line6 users there were

Some very tasty and varied gear getting used. I wouldnt wanna scratch the finish on that Soldano!
Theres a lot of Mesa gear too I notice. I wonder if thats because the majority of posters are based in the USA? If this was mostly a UK board would there be a flood of Marshalls?? Are Mesa's easy to find over there because over here (in the uk) they are as rare as rocking horse cr  p and as expensive as hell.

Currently I'm running a Fender Vibrolux. My only stomp box is a Barber Direct Drive SS, which I don't care for too much. Both of these will soon be replaced with a Zinky Blue Velvet combo (1-12", 25 watts, EL84 power tubes, 2 channel).

I play a standard Albert Lee and a Steve Morse.

Current setup

My live setup is nice and simple. A Digitech RP2000 modeling pedalboard with stereo feeds to a Peavey Classic 120/120 power amp, then into a stereo 4x12 cab.

At home I've got a 40+ year old Fender Vibrolux Reverb (2x12 combo). I tote the Digitech board back & forth and just use it mono at home on the Fender.

I also have a little Peavey Audition Chorus amp and an original Rockman Soloist, but I rarely use them. I also have an ART SGX2000 Express preamp+effects unit complete with X-15 midi foot controller. I use it mainly as an outboard effects unit for my home studio these days, although it does have some great metal lead sounds.

Two Ibanez guitars (one RG-series, one S-series), one fully-loaded EBMM Petrucci on the way in November!

Different sounds for different occasions.
I don´t believe in amp modelling. Although the feel of the new Line6 stuff is very good, at higher volumes they don´t react like a real amp.
My opinion.

Also would like to add that the newest custom shop tweed amp from Fender sounds pretty darn good too. I'm not much of a Fender guy at all but that particular amp has really nice tones. I think its a twin of some sort.....probably one of their "reissue" series amp. Why they have to be so dang expensive I'll never know.

Yeah, Mesa's are all over the place here in Va. Beach.....almost over run like roaches out here.....hehehehe....which is not a bad thing.

Marshall's are too for that matter.

Line 6 are usually parked next to the EBMM for some reason....oh yeah, best guitars to try out these cool units.....nice marketing idea if you ask me. Or am I the only one that has noticed this?!?!? In fact, I used my Line 6 Spider with my Jp's last night.......wonderful sound especially with my JP-7! :D

Fender amps are fairly accessible.

Some of the "boutique" amps are a little harder to find, but I just love the Marshall's. Mesa's are great too, just haven't found the "one" yet as much as I try them out.
