I realize this thread getting a little long in the tooth but I just had to share a pic of my latest acquisition...

So far, the Bongo sounds FANTASTIC through this baby. There are almost too many tonal options, what with the Bongos stellar pre and the Ashdown's hyper flexible EQ. I tried to be kind to the neighbors but even on 1 the paint was peeling off the walls.

I've got a gig for a few hundred folks next Friday, I'm pretty sure this'll keep their chests a thumpin'.

Oh and yes, that is a velvet Elvis ornament on the psycho Christmas tree in the background.

With my band I run it through an EHX Knock-Out (also own some effects), then an AER Amp One Combo and then into a Hartke VX3500 combo. I get my main sound out of the AER and the Hartke gives me the low end to fill up the sound (I play in a trio). When playing with anyone else I usually just use the AER (the Hartke belongs to my Drummer).

I used to run a fender bassman 2x15 and a peavey TKO combo kind of like that. It was actually a very good sound. Combining two different amps like that will get you some cool tones.

Great rigs, everybody! Although I'm not currently a 'Ray owner, my Sterling 5 single H, Bongo 5 HH and Bongo 5 single H all sound great through my Hartke gear. No pics, sorry.

Two (2) Hartke HA2500 heads (250 watts @ 4 ohms; 180 watts @ 8 ohms)
Two (2) Hartke 410 TP cabs
Two (2) Hartke 210 XL cabs
Two (2) Hartke 1410 combos (140 watts; 2-10" speakers)

I like Hartke because I'm not a big fan of tweeters/horns and the original Hartke all aluminum cone drivers have just the right amount of top end.
