I love my little Roland micro cube as a practice amp. I can dial in any tone, and its dials and switches rather than LCD screens and menus, which I like.

That said, I'm just about ready for a valve amp. I've been eyeing the new Victory range by Martin Kidd who was one of the main guys at Cornford. The new single channel V40 Countess has got my GAS seriously stoked. Anyone tried any of the range in person?

No I haven't but a very interesting UK amp is demonstrated by Mike Caswell
- I just had to put this out there.

My main amp these days is a Mesa Express 5:50 PLUS head that I use with either a Mesa 1x12 27" wide body cabinet or a Mesa Recto Vertical 2x12 cab. I also have an Electra-Dyne head which is killer, but, honestly like the clean platform of the Express Plus better. I carry a mini rec head with me as a backup.

Wow Spud, that sounds and looks incredible. I just looked the price up, about £1000, which isn't as expensive as I was thinking it was going to be. They also do a 5/30 Reverb.

Some of the drive sounds he was getting were amazing!

Very interested, thanks Spud.

I am still rocking my 'vintage' Line 6 Duoverb 2x12 amps. Still sound amazing and I often get compliments on my tone.

For shows when I am too lazy to haul a 70lb amp around I use a Roland Cube 80GX. I have started using a Sansamp GT2 pedal with it for some drive sounds which sound amazing.

Currently awaiting delivery for a Marshall JVM 1-watt 50th Ann. Played that thing for about an hour before pulling the trigger and loved it. I wish it had reverb though

How's the cab clone working for you?

I love it! I've heard people aren't happy with it when A/Bing with a mic, but I've made a few recordings on here and I absolutely love it!

It is a godsend for people playing in apartment, and pretty well the only way realistically that I can get my amp up to 3 Master Volume without pissing off the neighborhood...also love how easy it makes recording.

My favorite amp is my only amp. It's the 70's Silverface Princeton that my Uncle left me when he passed. I use it every day, and it is a joy to use. Beautiful cleans, and charming crunch sounds in a tiny little box. I'm very fortunate to have that be my first and only tube amp. (So far)

Another EVH 5150iii user here. I have the same amp/setup but in white. How are you managing the volume boost when going from CH1 to CH2? I was following the discussion on TGP when the amp first came out but quickly lost interest (LOL).

I use a Fender Princeton BF Reissue for my cleans, but I kinda miss the thump and twang of my Fender Vibrolux Reverb reissue. I've been meaning to try one of the silver face ones that came out, but I think I should just stay away.

After years of valve amps, I took the unusual step of going solid state.
The tones and effects on this amp are just to my taste.
Great amp at not a lot of money.
