For Tip #1 I wonder if they‘re gonna make a Jason Richardson 8 String, just thought about that.A recap of the info our inside source has taken great pains to deliver to us...
Spy Info No.1: An existing and awesome guitar will be released with a new number of strings.
Spy Info No.2: A body wood never before used by EBMM will appear on signature guitar.
Spy Info No.3: There will be a special guitar to mark a special anniversary.
Spy Info No.4: New colors for "continuous improvement".
Spy Info No.5: The L4 is confirmed. There will be THREE new Lukather guitars.
More to come, ce soir.
Maybe they chambered it, like the 25th Anniversary Game Changer or the JPXBlack limba is such a sexy wood. Heavy as hell, but sexy.
Spy Info No.8: New colors for the StingRay
I'm not sure. I know there will be a chambered PDN run of a particular model coming up, but I doubt that counts. At least not as far as this NAMM thread is concerned.Maybe they chambered it, like the 25th Anniversary Game Changer or the JPX
Are there any chambered Guitars in their current LineUp?
Hopefully the L4 has normal sized ss frets. That was the ONLY thing that didn't make the L3 a completely awesome guitar for me.
They list them as low/wide frets. I also thought it would be a problem since i like the medium jumbo on the gibson. But instead i love them on the luke2. I think its the combination of the small neck and low frets that makes it work. Feels effortless. That would also be the deal-MAKER for me as well, the reported "small" frets are the biggest reason I haven't pull the trigger on an L3. Most of my guitars have at least Fender medium jumbos, and my DGT and Charvel have 6100s- JUMBOs. I'm a big fan of big frets.
What was the reasoning for the small frets initially? That would also be the deal-MAKER for me as well, the reported "small" frets are the biggest reason I haven't pull the trigger on an L3. Lukather's preference. The regular production signature guitars that EBMM makes are made the way the artists want them. In the first decade of the Petrucci guitars, if JP changed his preferred string gauge, the production guitars changed to match too. The LIII initially came with all-rosewood necks. After a couple of years, Luke's preference changed to roasted maple and the production of all LIIIs switched. What was the reasoning for the small frets initially?
