I think that your comments got well recieved even though in this case they dont mean Poop.
I am VERY happy with the results because JOHN is happy with the results.
A little hint from being here awhile....Hate and sucks usually gets a polar opposite and confrontational response.
I never assumed they did.
So am I. That's the most important thing. It was after all, JP's music that led me to EBMM.
I don't believe I ever used "sucks". Don't think I ever would when talking about an EBMM guitar. But I get you. Point taken.
Thanks.

For the record, I was at the Guitar Center in Edina, Minnesota last night and was talking to an employee about the prototype coming out. The guy told me that EBMM isn't going to bring it out, that they stopped it. I told him he was thinking about the Sub, not the JP. He asked the manager and he also said the JP wasn't being done. He said that the Sub and JP aren't being made anymore and that Guitar Center wasn't buying either any longer.

DULLARDS AND MUTANTS
the maple cap is the same and the scoop is gone
where was the SCOOP located? i really dont see one?
AHHHHHH thanx Steve your the best ,like i siad i have never played one ,or seen one in person,so that is actually scooped out? i just thought it was angled for his playing style on a flat kind of angle but it actually is carved or SCOOPED out eh?........neeto
And just for my sake .... having never seen or played either i like the look of the new one MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the old design
BP, I like the racing car analogy. It's just that a lot of guys here can't afford the GAS![]()
Me, I'm really happy to see prototypes as you guys work toward JP's production model. Not every guitar has to resonate with everyone ... that's why you have so many models after all. (I'm just lucky that the Y2D happened to be my perfect guitar.) Plus, we all know the drill. Build it, watch him play it, sit back and watch the orders come in ...
It is amazingly cool for a geek like myself to see the various stages in the birth of a new guitar. Thank you very much to BP for giving a glimpse at what is just around the corner.
My personal take on the latest JP prototype is that it has lost a bit of uniqueness
Edit: I took another look at the picture of the prodution and the prototype JPs side by side - the production model looks decidedly more "pedestrian"... the new look is growing on me
