if Hollywood has taught me anything it's taught me that leaving children home alone is OK. Especially if robbers are trying to break in... ;)

We're in Broomfield - I still haven't looked to see exactly how far Centennial is from us, but I know I can speak for my wife in saying that she'd be glad to check in on your teenagers while we're at the bash! (if you don't opt to take them along.) But I'd also understand if having someone just "checking in" wouldn't necessarily give you the "warm fuzzy" you're after as the parent of one or more teenagers.

Robert - that is a generous offer. Thank you. My daughter is in a dance competition that weekend and we are trying to get her to spend the weekend with one of her team mates. Might be able to farm out my son or I can bring him along.

Can't do Baton Rouge......

Sorry to say, I won't be able to make it to Baton Rouge.

I'd love to be there, I just can't afford it this year.

But, I'll raise a glass to everyone from the desert!

And see a few of you at the NAMM show.... :D

You're not alone Ritchie....it doesn't look like I'm going to make it either. It's been a tough year. I was hoping for the east coast, but maybe next year. (edited per BP's comment)

For those that are going, have a blast!!! BP's parties are the best!

Looks like flying into New Orleans and renting a car could be a good option. Baton Rouge is 1.5 hours away.

Texas Finally!
Another option is to use American and fly into DFW, then straight into Baton Rogue, just check, the airport code is BTR.

i check the flights before considering it and they were pretty reasonable from most major markets.
Lets make sure that before posting how expensive it is for you that you dont dissuade someone else who wont bother finding out how much it is.....most round trip flights that I found on obitz were in the 350 dollar range

We need more Aussies at these events...;)

It's pretty unlikely but has not been ruled out completely on my end... actually i'll change that to highly unlikely but i'm trying to pull off a miracle...

It's the same old song... Money for travel or additional guitars... and don't get too excited about the later just yet Colin ;) :D

Mr. Toe and Mrs. Paula are wholeheartedly on-board with any and all Baton Rouge Ernie Ball shenanigans! WE BE READY! As soon as we know which hotel will be Music Man Slinky Town Central, we'll get booked!

Sweet. I need to spend more time with the Toe this time. I feel like I talked to you face to face for all of 3 minutes in Dallas.

Well, this just got a bit more complicated.

It looks like the LSU vs Troy game is being postponed from this coming weekend due to damage to the stadium courtesy of Gustav.

The current date for a rescheduled game? November 15th. That means the previously open weekend will now see 10s of thousands (stadium capacity is over 90000) of college football fans flocking to Baton Rouge.

So, any chance a hotel for Knucklehead central can be determined quickly before they are all booked up for the football game?
