I know this story isnt over yet although I am pretty sure it will all work out, I can't help thinking how on earth would you have been able to locate, transact and (eventually) take delivery of such a rare and specific guitar before we had the internet and forums like this!

It feels like pot luck now when you manage to track one down but at least now we have the entire world as our shop front and not just the local classifieds!

Sorry bovinehost but I don't know what are you talking about?? Is it some kind of joke?? If so it's not very kind of you because I've got areal problem now. I've never bought any Strat from you. I've never had a Strat actually.

I trust it was a misunderstanding. Personally, I know these happen in the forum. Have you had any luck the sent contact information and with Koogs?

Hopefully your guitar will come. I bid a Fender 1954 Custom Shop Strat on nov 07. I made payment, but guitar never arrives. I've been scammed of SGD$2857. Hopefully you wont have the same fate as me:):):)

Bovinehost - no problem! It wasn't me but I believe that quite many guys from POLAND can use POLAMER because it's the best way to ship things from US to our country. :)

This was a total accident, the guitar got lost. I have requested Marcin's contact info and will be mailing him a refund tomorrow.

To all of you guys out there that think you know everything...know this maybe you should mind your own business. I sold my other Petrucci and it arrived with no problems...my friend that handled the transaction has been in constant communication with the buyer. I in essence sold him the guitar then he sold it to Marcin. Maybe this was not the best way to handle this but I have limited knowledge on these types of transactions. Everything was done in good faith and will be rectified.

I have not been online due to my work schedule and not having any internet to use, I do not own a laptop so my internet useage has been minimal.

Again, this will be cleared up in the next couple of days.

Not that happy...I am reimbursing out of my own pocket and I do not have the guitar! I could end up being hosed twice...this is an unfortunate situation. I am confident UPS will either A) pay the insurance claim or B) locate the guitar, hopefully the latter is the case. Either way Marcin's money is going out tomorrow.

I've had major problems with UPS in the past. I have not used them since 1996 and I will *never* use them again. But I digress. I don't intend this to become a UPS bashing thread or to hijack the thread.

My point is that timely communication can be critical, as we learned from whitestrat's experience. In this case, too, had fqjcior been touch with rmh925, I do not think he would have been worried. I am not castigating rmh925; don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that had he and fqjcior been in touch, this thread might never have come into existence, and there might never have been a problem or potential problem.

Timely communication.

I am in touch with rmh925 again so I think it's a progress:). He said he will make a refund so we will see. Of course I will keep you updated. Honestly I want more to have that Black Sparkle beauty at my home than a refund but what can I do....

Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that in general you were getting the benefit of the doubt here.

kinda cool how much response and quick help came out of this.

Man, this is horrible. rmh925, I hope you somehow get your money back. It seemed fishy at first, but I understand your situation. Best of luck to you my man.

Note to self: always make sure to buy insurance and get a tracking number!

Hope either one happens for you. I hope they locate the guitar to be honest...not too many of those around. Check your PM. :cool:

No harm done...I have been a member of this forum for a couple of years and know how pasionate they are about their guitars and the members....I didn't want to sell the guitar believe me, but had a family crisis so it had to be sold...I actually sold both of my JP6's had a Rad Red also which sold on ebay...Still have my trusty Morse so i'm not with out BALLS.....As for the guys that live close to McAllen TX looking forward to seeing you at Melhart Music. I bought all my EBMM guitars from there and you can ask Rik Garza about me he's known my for about 6 years and i'm one of his best customers, I have spent alot money there, and as for Mike from Muir guitars he sets up all of my guitars and known him for about 10 years they can all vouch for me so be my guest and ask....
