I am sincerely hoping the new Challenger isn't emasculated by the upcoming CAFE standards. I read that they also might kill any chance of a convertible version of the new Camaro.

So Andrew, you're saying my wife has bad taste?

:D

(she likes the new Camaro concept a lot)

FWIW, I've had Mustangs and Camaros and I've loved them both. I think the Mustang has that little extra something about it though. A trait that makes it a car whose appeal is able to cross demographic boundaries and be driven and admired by a broader section of the public than the Camaro.

The new Camaro and Challenger are supposed to gain B-pillars when they go into production. They'll likely look rather different than the concept. We'll see! Still, isn't it great that we're going to be getting a choice of some really cool iron from the U.S. again?

Hehe. I just hate Camaros in general to be completely honest. I had very high hopes on the new Camaro and was hoping it would change my mind but it's made me turn my head away even more. Personally, I believe that they should have left them discontinued.

This is all coming from a die hard Ford fan so I really don't think anyone should listen to me. I've been brought up to believe that the Mustang is the true American muscle car and I still believe that today. :)

Of course I would drive a 69 Camaro SS. That's a baaaad car.

We considered waiting on the new Camaro but like you said, something about the looks of it just didn't click. We ordered Wendy a 2008 Mustang GT convertible and this thing is sweet. I love the "new retro look" if that makes any sense. Torch red with red leather interior, 18" wheels, cloth top...she is very happy. I know...doesn't exist without pictures. I'll get some this weekend since I will actually be home before dark for a change.

I'm sure there are a lot of similar shops in the US, however here is a restoration business - again near me (Toronto) - that seems to do amazing restorations (althouh not cheap) ... check out the inventory - some nice units ... Legendary Motor Car Ltd.
