Any bass players out there familiar with Queensryche's "The Killing Words" from the Rage for Order album? Of course, we'd need someone who could sing Geoff Tate.. and that ain't me.

Aw, hell.. I guess I'll just make a list and send it to Tommy and we'll see if anyone else matches up. It's so hard for me to come up with tunes I like to play which do not require keyboards!

I could do something like Red House by Hendrix or Still got the Blues by Gary Moore, or Keep On Rockin in the Free World by Neil Young. I could play lead guitar and and sing, but could use a good rythm guitar player on it (and of course the bass and drums.)

I would have to use my F!nder Str!T or my De!n Korina V becasue I don't have my Petrucci EBMM yet. If using a non-EBMM is verbotten let me know.

Soembody would have to get me a Wonder Dog shirt too . . . .

This trip is getting better every single day. BP is not only inviting us but he's also trying us out, hell yeah, let's go for it then.

Ok, I'm not that sophisticated in playing my Morse, I get along on the thing fine I guess, but if anyone feels like doing some songs with me, well, I'm in.

Short list of things I can normally play by heart:
Plush - Stone Temple Pilots
Alive - Pearl Jam
Bombtrack - Rage Against The Machine
Gimme all your lovin' - ZZ Top
Born to be wild - Steppenwolf (although we normally play it with a lot more punch and gain)
Stuck in the middle with you - Jeff Healy Band version
Colorful - The Verve Pipe (from the Rockstar motion picture soundtrack)
The Road - Tenacious D
Basket Case - Green Day

There is more, but those jump to mind right away.

Arin, if you want to do some punk songs, I don't know any Rancid songs, but maybe we can find some other punk songs that I'm more familiar with or otherwise, I'll get familiar with 'em by the open house. Do you happen to know the Toy Dolls?

So, I would love to get on stage and play some.

Cheers, Tom.

hey Tom,

I dont know any Toy Dolls but if you name a song ill iTunes it and learn it by then. Im down to play any tune w/ anyone. PM me dude

I don't know that QR song, but if you wanted to do

Silent Lucidity
or
Take Hold of the Flame

my vocal range suprisingly accomodates, and I wouldn't want to sing & play at the same time on those songs :D

Holy sheet Pete!!! That's a pretty impressive song to do. Geoff has quite a range and there aren't many that can hang with him.

looking forward to this more and more...

Keif said I should do some classical piece. I would love to play but I think that power wielding
BP wants this to be a team effort. What with all the people that want to play I don't think that everyone would get a chance to unless we go till the factory tours the next day. I want to be well rested for that 'cause I want BP to hold my hand the whole way through the tour!
Furry Lisa (like a lot of my crap) is more atheral than shred. There is a section that really kicks but it's mostly a lots of volume swell chorus delay. I hide a lot behind effects. I bet BP has already had a good laugh about banging the gong on the down beat of one for me. So I figure I better quit being a biff baby about it and find something I can do with someone else. That's why I jumped on the request from the Bass moderator. You want to Gong me, well then you'll have to gong your boy too!
As much as I wish it was, this ain't the NorM show. I just hope I can get through this without being tazed, maced, arrested on a trumped up charge, getting my Axis Super Sport kicked, getting Koogied (having neck broken) or having to rhymes with Luke.
