My roadies, Nick the camera monkey, and I are all looking for a good bar to hit on Wednesday and Thursday. Suggestions from Dallas natives or those who know the area are more than welcome!

Pete, there's a pretty cool (well it used to be) bar up off of Lover's Lane called Milo Butterfingers. It's like a bar/grill with excellent food, foosball, darts, giant TV's. It's got a pretty heavy SMU crowd, but other thant hat it's cool. ;)

Jeffrey you must play on friday its an order

Okay okay okay.

I've given this some thought (not much though, thinking hurts).

What should I play? I can learn some tunes to jam or I uh... well hell, I dunno.

I could do something silly like play to backing tracks of a few of my bands tunes maybe (with no guitar in'em).

Any ideas big guy? :)

I'm 6' 4". Is that big enough?

Playing on top of my backing tracks is what I did for the open house. It's what I do. I have been slammed in my life this year and I have silpped in my guitar playing schedule. I think I will just be enjoying the show this time.

Hopefully you can do your thing. I'm looking forward to it.

Now that I am booked I am really getting stoked about the trip.

I remember that, Norm!

I'm very much a live/with my band kinda guy. I've never done the backing track thing, that would weird me out a bit I'm sure.
Such is my world. Things that would weird people out are the NorM to me!

Yeah, um, backing tracks, um, yes, well, ahem, NO!

I mean, of course you CAN do that but it's like...guitar karaoke, isn't it?

This is about playing with each other. Learn some Elvis, some Beatles, some Stones, something with three chords in 4/4. BP and Tommy and John and I played some Elvis at the Open House with BP's brother on vocals - why not? How hard can "Blue Suede Shoes" be? (I'm not entirely sure that's what it was, but Elvis is Elvis.)

We have a world-class drummer, all the bassists you could ever want and an opportunity to impress the living beejeezus out of the staff at the BBQ joint.

Bunch of damned guitarists, ain'tcha?

:D

Hey now, lets not attack guitarists.....I seem to remember playing an Elvis song with you as well, but this should be about playing music together. Not to backing tracks.
