Hi, I just joined the club of Musicman owners with a (Rolls?) burgundy Bongo 5HS. I love it to bits as it gives my Alembic and Warwick Streamer Stage 1 a run for their money. The former owner had no information regarding its history. The serialnumber is F10413. Would love to know the DOB. Thanks in advance!

Hi AJ!

After 2 years of playing a SBMM SUB Ray4, I finally mustered up the cash to invest in one of the finest basses I'll ever play. My EBMM StingRay 4 3EQ in honeyburst with a maple fretboard. serial number E87291.

Curious as to its production date, I bought it brand new from Wunjo's on sat but I feel it may have been hung up in the shop for a while, as the neck and the fretboard were a bit grey. However, nothing a wonder wipe couldn't clean up! I am interested in finding out where I can buy/how I can apply gunstock oil and wax to the back of the neck also, if you wouldn't mind helping me out that'd be great!

Thanks for your time, and thanks to all the guys at EBMM. Every time I've played a Stingray I've been stunned, now at 18 I'm privileged enough to own one!

In regards to the neck, if dirt has been embedded into the grain of the wood it is most likely permanent. Gunstock oil and wax will not lighten up the wood or make it look more clean. Try Amazon for birchwood casey products.

Also, watch this video on how to clean the neck and apply the gunstock oil and wax:

I am buying this online and I am being told from the store that this is a brand new bass. I winder how that can be if it was made back in '06.
