Hi, I just joined the club of Musicman owners with a (Rolls?) burgundy Bongo 5HS. I love it to bits as it gives my Alembic and Warwick Streamer Stage 1 a run for their money. The former owner had no information regarding its history. The serialnumber is F10413. Would love to know the DOB. Thanks in advance!

However, nothing a wonder wipe couldn't clean up! I am interested in finding out where I can buy/how I can apply gunstock oil and wax to the back of the neck also, if you wouldn't mind helping me out that'd be great!

In regards to the neck, if dirt has been embedded into the grain of the wood it is most likely permanent. Gunstock oil and wax will not lighten up the wood or make it look more clean. Try Amazon for birchwood casey products.

Also, watch this video on how to clean the neck and apply the gunstock oil and wax:

I would like to know the specifics, year of construction and find out if the pickup is alnico or ceramic

I am buying this online and I am being told from the store that this is a brand new bass. I winder how that can be if it was made back in '06.
