the masses love repitition and "nursey rhyme" style melody. Look at "in the Club" by Fifty Cent! Hanna Montana and "High School Musical" are HUGE right now and have been for a year!!. Personally, that music makes me want to kick puppies.
Remember: just because it sells, doesn't mean it's good, look at McDonalds.

Haha, so true...and I've only eaten at McDonald's twice in my life and never will again.
I went to Canada's Wonderland on Sunday and when you wait in the huge lines for the coasters, they subject you to MTV music videos, of which they only had 5 different songs...
They were as follows:-Boulevard of Broken Dreams: Greenday
-Girlfriend: Avril Lavigne
-Some Shakira song, Hips? Hell, I don't f'in know the title
-Some rap crap (But then again, you can't spell crap without rap)
-Hilary Duff something...
All in all, the soothing sounds of screams on the coasters sounded a billion times more pleasant and musical.
When is that song gonna go away? Honestly... I wanted to punch a cow by the third time I heard it, and you are telling me it's STILL around?
