The first time I heard Joan Osbourne's "What If God Was One Of Us", I could NOT stop laughing. I thought it was a parody, or something from South Park.

"No one to talk to on the phone 'cept for the Pope maybe in Rome?" It still cracks me up.

And being who I am, I have to point out that it should be "What if God WERE One of Us?"

Because he's not, you see, but she's willing to entertain the notion in order to explain what would happen if he were.

Which he's not.

So it's subjunctive.

So there.

Icky Thump - White Stripes. I want to rip off my ears or kill someone whenever I hear that "music"

Heard it the other day... wow was that awful! They really outdid (is that a word?) themselves this time.

Seriously considering making a parody of it, called Icky Dump :D

Thanks everyone, I haven't laughed like that in a while. So many awful songs, so many awful memories (and a ton of good ones too to be honest).

And here is the vote from the DrKev jury...

That Wet Wet Wet song from "Four Weddings and a Funeral" - My stomach tries to violently liberate itself from my body every time I hear it. Truly awful!!

Once again i am dating myself. The CONVOY song, "breaker 1 nine"-
"we gotta might convoy" etc.. hahaha AWFUL!
OK
"Do you know the muffin man, the muffin man, the muffin man?? " hahahaha
That was my wifes.
L.

Ragging on "Convoy" ...what up with that ?...Next you'll be trashing Jerry Reed..and the theme to "Smokey & The Bandit" or Phantom 309, the unforgettable truck driver ghost story sung by Red Sovine..Man O' Man

Next.."The Muffin Man"
O.K we're not talkin' about the Zappa song..we're talkin' about the nursery song..right

I can't stand "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" whoever performe it. When I go in club with my friends and there see some crappy band play this song, I wanna puke. Also, I can't stand people who learned a few chords and play ballads just to get some chicks.

Jodi, how are you getting exposed to this type of horror on a regular basis? Who listens to this crap all the time while you are hanging out with them? How do you know so much about it? I've never even heard of the lip gloss song. I finally managed to see the Avril Lavigne "girlfriend" song. Oh boy. Bad bad bad.

My sister Sally ..
For some reason she aged a decade or two after getting married.
She became a jazzercise instructor .. and all my hopes of having fun with her in the future were washed down the drain. It's quite amusing actually to watch her listening to her iPod motioning out an ab routine ...

Anything by 3 Doors Down.

I swear if I hear the song Kryptonite one more time I'm going to blow my brains out with a machine gun.

Hehe....my company encourages being active in online communities as well. I'm just not so sure how they'd feel about my ragging on artists that may or may not use our products. ;):D
