worst songs

Ugh, right here we go...

Mika - "whatever that cowpat of a song he has out is called"

Marilyn Manson - "If I Was Your Vampire" (ooh, scary!)

Green Day - "When September Ends" (somebody please shoot that wannabe-Irish prat!)

Pantera - "Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills" (terrible, just... terrible)

Dream Theater - "Another Day" (sorry - this is just aweful - the most potent cheese ever. It ruins my favourite of all their albums and the worse thing is it sounds like Kenny G is playing in there as well!)

"Pretty Woman" Van Halen version.

ARGGHHH!! When that comes on, the station gets changed- QUICK.

Oh, now, come on...be honest...

That falls under the "overplayed" category, doesn't it? I mean, basically it's a good song.

I think this thread is supposed to be about stuff that's so bad you want to eviscerate the singer instantly, not stuff that's okay the first ten times you hear it.

That lips of an angel song is awful, especially considering the content of the bands other songs... a guy I know has that song as a ringtone for his evil succubus of a girlfriend

, the whole whiny concept grates on me.

"Faithfully" by Journey is true crossover, it's a loser in more categories than just Ode to the Road.

Whiny music!!

I LOVE THAT.

There are so many - Beth, (Kiss) EVERYTHING Steve Perry has ever sung, lots of Bon Jovi, and pretty much most of the hair band stuff.

Bravo for that one

Oh, come on, what did I do? ;) :p

Yeah, the way that Peter Criss sings that song is just horrific. I was never "blessed" by hearing the song until I was about 13 - a bunch of people sang it to me and I didn't know what to think -- until I heard it. Mind you, at the time I was into the hair band stuff, but I did NOT like that song! It's when his voice cracks out like he's just about to cry "oh Beth what can I do?" oh my god, I just want to smack him!!!

No, I haven't seen Detroit Rock City, whats it like? ...you better not be one of those people who screams at me for not having seen a movie. I hate it when people do that. They're like "OMIGOD! BLASPHEMY!!! YOU HAVE NOT SPENT 2 HOURS OF YOUR LIFE WATCHING THIS MOVIE?!?!?!" :D :D :D

No, but thinking of that song "Beth" and the wussy way in which Peter Criss sings it reminds me of the way John Travolta sings "Oh Sandy" on Grease.

I sit... and wonder WHYAIYAIYAIYoohWHY
she left me
*cracking voice* OH SAAANDYYYY

Nope, That's one of the worst songs I've heard, even from the first time. That annoying intro et all.

which version are you talking about, the rock version or the country version? :) Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.

I thought it was some romantic song, but its actually a song about some dude who calls his ex-girlfriend "honey" and doesn't want to get caught on the phone when his current girlfriend is in the next room. Stupid stupid stupid.

"My girl's in
the next room
sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on...

...but girl you make it hard to be faithful
with the lips of an angel"

I don't usually make it a habit to call my exes late at night, especially if I'm in a relationship and so is he. In fact, I don't make it a habit to keep in touch with my exes at all. There's a reason why I ain't with them anymore, huh? :D

Anything by Linkin Park, Kiss, and Britney Spears.

Other than that, I'm at least relatively tolerant of most everything else.

These are actually bands I don' t like, but I'll try to think up some songs too.

Hoo boy. Here we go:

Anything Journey after the Infinity album. Actually, you can count "Lights" in there.

I've never really liked Jethro Tull. I tend to punch radio buttons when they come on.

Whitney's version of I Will Always Love You.

Celine Dion- My Heart Will Go On.

Anything by Britney or Jessica or any of those pop tart gals.

Anything by the boy bands.

Anything (and I mean anything) by Air Supply.

That goes double for REO Speedwagon. Can't stand the singers on either of those acts.

okay, I need a juice box and a timeout now.
