if anyone wants a 2-fer deal, the VT alumni have asked for any and all to observe "Orange and Maroon Effect" day tomorrow (20.Apr.2007) to honor the victims of Monday's shooting. All that is needed is to wear clothing with some orange or maroon on it. I'll be wearing my lucky t-shirt:

Less that two years behind you, buddy, and counting.
Remember, the big "OH" birthday is just an arbitrary thing. You're not significanly older today than you were yesterday, and tomorrow you won't be significantly older than you are today.
People over 50 are cool. They're smart. They're funny. They're wise. They've usually got enough money to spend on extra basses. Just look at Jack. And Sterling.
When I think about the person I am today and compare that guy with the person I was when I was 30, I think on balance that today I'm a better person. I'll bet that's true for most of us, and that's a GOOD THING. (Sure wish I had the body I did when I was 30, though.)
We're all going to try to make someone else smile today...but today is YOUR day. Do something that makes YOU smile! I'm sure, from what I've seen of you on this forum, that in the process you're going to make a bunch of other people smile too!

In your honor I bought a lovely bouquet of flowers to a women I work with. I don't deal with her that much but I know she's been down due to her mother's passing.
When she got them I had to explain who you were and I got the oddest look!
She was very happy and so, once again, you have brought joy to someone and you didn't even know it!
Again, many happy and healthy more!
