if anyone wants a 2-fer deal, the VT alumni have asked for any and all to observe "Orange and Maroon Effect" day tomorrow (20.Apr.2007) to honor the victims of Monday's shooting. All that is needed is to wear clothing with some orange or maroon on it. I'll be wearing my lucky t-shirt:

Also, if any are so inclined, donations for memorial services and assistance can be made at:
Chuck, I'm so happy you are in this world and have made it this far. You've made me laugh on many occasions and nothing could be finer. I hope to drink a Bud with you one of these days.
Happy birthday Psycho. I'm leaving today for a business trip but on this special day I have informed my network that every order placed today will get a 5% off (cause 50 was a bit too much ah ah ah ah)
Less that two years behind you, buddy, and counting.
Remember, the big "OH" birthday is just an arbitrary thing. You're not significanly older today than you were yesterday, and tomorrow you won't be significantly older than you are today.
People over 50 are cool. They're smart. They're funny. They're wise. They've usually got enough money to spend on extra basses. Just look at Jack. And Sterling.
When I think about the person I am today and compare that guy with the person I was when I was 30, I think on balance that today I'm a better person. I'll bet that's true for most of us, and that's a GOOD THING. (Sure wish I had the body I did when I was 30, though.)
We're all going to try to make someone else smile today...but today is YOUR day. Do something that makes YOU smile! I'm sure, from what I've seen of you on this forum, that in the process you're going to make a bunch of other people smile too!
I'm taking donuts and coffee to the nurses who work with my wife at the hospital. They love it when I do that...they think my name is Joe (as in Joe Bag-o-donuts).
Happy birthday Chuck....
I'm working today and as part of my job I sat with a 17 year old girl for two hours while she held a razor next to her wrist, eventually getting her to hand it over. Need a beer tonight!
Chuck - Even though I don't know you personally or as well as the other guys, I wish you all the best!
In your honor I bought a lovely bouquet of flowers to a women I work with. I don't deal with her that much but I know she's been down due to her mother's passing.
When she got them I had to explain who you were and I got the oddest look!
She was very happy and so, once again, you have brought joy to someone and you didn't even know it!
Again, many happy and healthy more!
Happy Birthday Chuck, 50 aint that bad, lot of life to live still, in honor of your birthday I am sending 2 sets of EB Super Slinkys to a dude who wanted to buy my guitar but lost out at the end of the auction.
