Hey folks…first post after lurking since April.
Re lists/waiting times and such, I played the L4 Steamroller on the fist day of NAMM ‘23 and contacted a mom n pop that I really like the next day to place the order. Assuming he placed the order that day, I ordered mine before NAMM was even over. I’ve heard nothing re delivery date yet…

Welcome!!!

If they haven't reach out to Pete Dubaldo @ Dubaldo Music, he'll hook you up.

Thank you! For both the welcome and the advice.
I’m sure my guy followed through. I guess what I was trying(and failing lol) to communicate is that it’s entirely possible the big box retailers may have pre ordered the 30th prior to NAMM. Might explain how some are being sighted in the wild before my guy(whose shop is a 15min drive from the SLO facility) hasn’t got the call yet.

Anyway, thx again for the welcome. Very much appreciated

I have the same question. What number on the list were you if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks. /cheers
Early NGD's are great!

I preordered very early, not too long after the NAMM announcement. I believe I was 3rd in line at Sweetwater for their allocation pool. They were allotted less than 30 of the Steamroller, I don't know exactly how many. I'm glad to have mine!

I’ve been meaning to share mine for a while now. I ordered from The Vault at 6am on the day of release and it arrived a few days later. Being partial to a FR setup, I’m tempted to order a second one. It’s that good!

Great lineup!!!! You simply need to add a Magliano HH (shoot me a message!).

Wait, the 25th came in red and blue? Second from the right.
It‘s a beautiful guitar but not a 25th. It was a vault release early this year. I’ve wanted a red one for a while and it’s gorgeous. Here’s the pic from the vault.

I’d love to but I’m at 11 new ones for the year already. 😂 I need to move a few of them to make some room.

Did my first gig with the L4 Steamroller this past Saturday night, so it was really my first chance to play it at stage volume and fully mixed with the band. I definitely noticed a difference in the pickups, at least compared to my L3 Tumescent. Love the Transitions, but the L4 did sound clearer/bigger through all settings - clean, little breakup, full-on distortion. I know that's not a very good description and super subjective. Just something about it was just even more pleasing to hear up close. And the Floyd - other than catching myself resting my hand on the bridge and realizing I was pushing it sharp a couple times - the tuning stability through 2 long sets was impeccable. Yeah, the standard bridge on the Lukes hold tuning really well too, but the Floyd is next-level IMO. Didn't even notice the slight increase in weight, honestly. I even used the push/push onboard boost a couple times (I never used it with the Tumescent....don't really know why), and it added a bit more oomph to my parts in a couple tunes. Admittedly, I still prefer to hit foot pedals for solo boosts - I've got enough other stuff going on with my hands to worry about turning that on and off. So, all in all I came away VERY impressed with the Steamroller - from playability, resourcefulness and sonic standpoints. Oh, it looks awesome too!! Only gripe - I am not a fan of the Mono case it came with and will probably buy a thinner, but sturdy gig bag (probably Gator) that you can attach a strap to. The thickness of the Mono case and the fact that the handles barely even reach each other makes it a bit awkward to carry and get into.

Got the call yesterday, picked it up today. Outstanding instrument. Still getting acquainted, but initially:
-magnificent build quality. Fit/finish superb. That neck!!!
-tuning stability outstanding. Couldn’t ask for more.
-HT pups/5way switch/gain boost provide highly versatile tonal range. Exactly what I need
-bit of a pig at 9lb14oz. Don’t care. Played the prototype at namm and knew exactly what I was getting into

This is my first EBMM. Very impressive IMG_7853-compressed.jpeg

Wow... almost 10lbs?!?! And I thought my 8.5lb tele was heavy...

My blueberry LIII arrives today, I'll have to try to weight it.

Pretty sure it’s the black limba that contributes to the heft on the steamroller. I’m guessing your LIII will be considerably lighter.
Yep I’d agree. I got super lucky with my L4, mine came in at just 8.5 lbs. with how good it feels and sounds, I wouldn’t care if it’d been 12. Even against my other EBMM guitars including a Prototype Luke 1 from 94, a rosewood neck olive gold L3, and a BFR Valentine, this one is quite a standout. It just sings
